Responsibilities

The Senior IT Business Analyst, Financial Reporting is a key player in HAVI’s Cloud First strategy, serving as an expert in cloud analytics and billing.  This position will analyze usage, identify optimization, drive waste reduction and improve processes.  The Senior Business Analyst will utilize HAVI’s cloud analytics tool to provide reporting, forecasting and spend trends. In this global cross functional role, you will have the opportunity to provide cloud education to, and work alongside, stakeholders throughout the Technology and Finance organizations.  Duties and tasks are varied and complex and require the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.  The Senior Business Analyst will report into the Technology team but work as an extension of our Finance and Accounting departments.

Additional responsibilities:

• Assess the reporting and analytic needs of leadership and Product Owners, and identify approaches and solutions to meet those needs
• Collect, monitor, analyze and reconcile invoice data
• Evaluate cloud spending trends and anomalies
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs based on reserved instance usage trends
• Drive transparency and accountability by building monthly spend reports and allocating costs appropriately
• Build strong working relationships across IT and Finance

Desired Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in an enterprise-wide organization
• In-depth understanding of Public Cloud providers, cloud analytical tools, and the various pricing models
• PowerBI experience a plus
• Experience leveraging resource tagging to allocate costs and optimize resource planning and reporting
• An ability to explain key billing and cloud concepts to various stakeholders, including C-Level executives
• Current with industry standards and trends in regard to cloud best practices
• Experience driving change in an organization through relationship-building, communication, influence and leadership
• Experience implementing best-practice processes and procedures
• Ability to work within cross functional teams and mentor IT colleagues
• Requires attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
