ABOUT THE ROLE

Retail has undergone a massive transformation. Consumer expectations have accelerated, and omnichannel experiences have gone from a "nice to have" to table stakes. A pillar of the omnichannel transformation is unlocking forward-deployed, store inventory for fast, flexible delivery. ShopRunner's Same-Day product empowers retailers to unlock brick-and-mortar inventory for eCommerce same-day delivery. We help retailers turn their stores into mini-fulfillment centers and connect retailers with a network of last-mile providers. Moving physical goods from one place to another is a complex, dynamic system that is evolving fast. 

We're looking for a Strategy and Operations Senior Manager to help develop and execute on our business strategy for ShopRunner’s Same Day Delivery offering. This role will live within ShopRunner’s product organization, and will be responsible for working cross-functionally to support multiple aspects of the business. The ideal candidate is analytical and growth focused, and has the ability to lead different cross-functional initiatives spanning product, finance, analytics, sales, and marketing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee commercial operations with Sales and Marketing leads - including go-to-market strategic planning, pricing, sales tools, pipeline management, and sales processes 
• Participate in and present at prospective and current partner retailer meetings 
• Work directly with the Finance team on P&L support, pricing models, customer pricing, and vendor costs - with an eye on optimizing for the financial health of the business
• Partner directly with Analytics leads to develop reporting for internal and external stakeholders to analyze program success
• Continually analyze retailer and driver network performance, identify opportunities and actively work to resolve
• Provide support for internal stakeholders and leadership - presenting product performance, strategy, blockers, opportunities
• Develop key performance metrics and track regularly to ensure the team is meeting monthly and annual goals
• Support new business incubation / expansion within the broader supply chain team. Help to vet new ideas and work with cross functional teams (product, engineering, etc) on new strategic projects
  
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5-7 years of experience in a strategic, analytical and operational role; ex: finance, business operations, consulting, a similar role in tech/product
• Experience in ecommerce, fulfillment, last-mile logistics, and/or retail supply chains is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities
• Project management skills - experience moving key initiatives forward, tracking projects, timelines and commitments across multiple teams
• Experience engaging external partners and/or vendors
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Comfortable in ambiguous environments 
• An entrepreneurial mindset - your comfortable rolling up your sleeves, thriving in ambiguity, and getting the work done
