Job Duties

Senior System Engineers for Chicago, IL location. Install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and support cloud-based software applications in large enterprise systems environment. Support, manage, install, and administer mission critical systems and applications in a Hadoop Cluster using Ranger, IPA, and Ambari Management Tool. Implement software standards and meet operational/disaster recovery requirements. Resolve problems, perform tuning on Hadoop clusters, and identify and mitigate root causes of issues. Technical Environment: Hadoop, HDFS, Hadoop/Cloudera Cluster environments, Hive, Sqoop, Zookeeper, Spark, MapReduce2, Yarn, HBase, Tez, Kafka, Unix, Python Scripting, Cloud Computing (AWS), OOZIE.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology plus two years of experience in the job offered or with software or systems development OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology plus five years of experience in the job offered or with software or systems development required. Required Skills: experience in large enterprise systems environment to support, manage, install, and administer mission critical systems and applications in Hadoop/Cloudera Cluster environments using Ranger, IPA, Ambari Management Tool; HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Zookeeper, Spark, MapReduce2, Yarn, HBase, Tez, Kafka, Unix, Python Scripting, AWS, OOZIE.
