Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Governance to lead the creation of a high-quality strategic plan that delivers maximum value and the lowest cost. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, and articulating the go-forward Tech Strategy in collaboration with Global Technology leaders. You will translate this strategy into an integrated Global Tech strategic roadmap across towers, markets, and segments and collaborate with tower leaders to estimate the capacity required for tech workloads and products. Additionally, you will design and operationalize enterprise prioritization processes, business case development, and value realization for Global Tech.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in strategy creation, design, and articulation, and possess deep communication and influencing skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate and articulate go-forward Tech Strategy in collaboration with Global Technology leaders
- Translate the tech strategy into integrated Global Tech strategic roadmap across towers, markets, and segments
- Based on strategy and roadmap, collaborate with tower leaders to estimate capacity required (esp. for managed services vendors) for tech workloads and products
- Design and operationalize enterprise prioritization process, business case development and value realization for Global Tech
- Drive reporting and analytics to track effectiveness of allocation and value realization of large tech programs
- Develop and operationalize portfolio health and governance processes to ensure early visibility to execution or budget risk
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience with Strategy creation, design, and articulation
- Deep communication and influencing skills, partnering with global tech leadership as well as finance and other functions
- Experience and understanding of modern planning and strategic execution methods (e.g. QBR, OKRs, PI planning) and agile planning processes
- Deep understanding of technology trends and market changes, especially consumption-based spend (e.g., Cloud, Edge, managed services, AI/ChatGPT)
- Experience with demand planning & forecasting, and resource allocation
- Experience with reporting and analytics
- Ability to drive governance and tracking of effectiveness of strategy and allocation of resources
- Impact-minded approach, with ability to articulate goals and instill action and alignment towards reaching them
- Good communication skills with comfort in speaking with business stakeholders
- Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress
