Primary Responsibilities

The Manager of Operations Business Improvement is responsible for managing / implementing new or revised processes / procedures with DC Operations & Transportation teams. This could also include supporting the on-boarding of new customers or off boarding of existing customers, customer model changes, and the execution of any customer or corporate assigned initiatives. They should have the experience and ability to independently and/or collaboratively develop and manage detailed project plans. They will be required to recognize, align, and properly engage resources at all organizational levels. They will be required to lead cross functional meetings internally and externally, design and manage plans and procedures, and ensure contractual targets and timelines are managed to compliance. Strong verbal, written, Microsoft Excel and organizational communication skills are required. The ability to negotiate, prioritize, multi-task, and manage numerous initiatives simultaneously is essential.   • Establish project plans, determine milestones, and facilitate cross functional meetings to ensure initiatives are on track.
  • Timely and accurate information assessment and issue resolution

  • Develop, document, and confirm project execution, monitor postmortem and report to management.
  • Design and implement metrics and reporting to ensure compliance and capture expense reductions.

  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Ability to multi-task work and respond with patience, courtesy and friendliness.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in DC Operations / Transportation, project management, managing execution of business initiatives.
  • Experience with retail merchandising, understanding of grocery channel operations, how distributors operate within this environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NTS DC Operations , Transportation , Connect PO Flow is a plus
  • Practical knowledge of how each functional area works and interact.
  • Must maintain good attendance.
  • Maintain safe work practices.
  • Excellent grammar: verbal, writing and telephone skills.
  • Must have strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • The ability to supervise multiple Initiatives.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities, excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Office products, Power BI experience is a plus
  • Provide leadership in project management, train, coach and mentor employees as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication avenues with all KEHE departments.
  • Carry out project management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Constantly strive to instill a sense of professionalism and pride in co-workers, when conducting meetings and ongoing daily communication.
  • Ensure quality service and follow through on commitments made to our customers, vendors, and internal cross functional team members.
  • Manage KPD projects to support inventory shrinkage-shortage, audit processes, excess inventory, and spoils goals established by the company.
  • Develop and maintain effective cost control procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum 5 years -experience in Dc Operations / Transportation.
    • Knowledge of food industry is a plus.
  • At least 2 to 4 years in leadership required.
  • Bachelor's Degree, highly preferred.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and schedules as required.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support customer and other corporate initiatives.
