What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience with Oracle or similar relational database technologies
• At least 10 years of Oracle DBA experience
• Must be Oracle Certified Professions
• Thorough knowledge Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, Goldengate, and Grid Control
• Understanding of advanced physical database design concepts like database partitioning, denormalization, buffer pool tuning, and index optimization.
• Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, Stored Procedures
• Good communication skills and must work well in a team environment
What we’d prefer to see:
• Prior experience working in a large group of DBAs
• Experience with 7 x 24 on-call rotation
Impact you’ll make:
• Lead a small group of DBAs to address a specific issues or a project
• Prepares presentations for management on new technology.
• Provides directional advice to management on deployment of complex custom developed database management systems.
• With minimal assistance, leads the evaluation and selection of database support tools.
• Serves as a strong technical resource and work independently to Systems management, project managers, etc.
