Position Overview:
The Sr. Strategic IT Sourcing Manager is a brand new role to Echo, reporting through our Technology Team’s Strategic Planning and Optimization function. This role will primarily be responsible for leading the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize cost, performance, and quality.
We’re looking for a leader with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills who can successfully build a strategic, technology-focused sourcing function from the ground up.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5-10 years minimum in an IT sourcing, procurement, or similar role
- Experience developing and leading strategic sourcing initiatives for IT-related purchases
- Solid analytical skills in performing bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modeling
- Complex problem-solving with development and implementation of creative solutions
- Solid experience with contract negotiations at senior levels
- Experience building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers
- Record of successfully persuading a wide range of stakeholders
- Record leading multi-disciplined projects with minimal amount of supervision
- Experience presenting complex ideas to management in a simplified manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multitasking with minimal supervision
Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
