We do this by working with strategic partners around the world to partner together and offer responsible installments products at the point of sale. We are looking for a strong leader who is motivated to own ambitious targets and drive major outcomes for the business! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading teams, growing partnerships in the payments and e-commerce landscape, and working cross-functionally with high-performance teams. This role will report into the VP of Strategic Partnerships.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will:

  • Own the program for our most strategic partner, Shopify, as well as additional Powered By Affirm strategic partners
  • Directly manage a team that is passionate about the growth, go-to-market, and execution of this program; cross-functionally lead the dedicated team to do the same (product, eng, operations, legal, risk, finance)
  • Drive $XB in loan volume in 2021, $XB in 2022, and beyond
  • Responsible for overall PBA portfolio health (ROA, loan volume, merchant adoption, AOV lift, conversion, SoC, etc)
  • Lead senior and day-to-day relationships at Shopify, ensuring deep partnership, collaboration, and planning process
  • Build and deliver a third-party GTM strategy to drive Shopify merchant adoption, usage, satisfaction, and revenue growth
  • Build Affirm marketing best practices and strategy to enable our PBA strategic partners
  • Build Affirm resale strategy to further enable our PBA strategic partners
  • Establish and execute Affirm’s consumer acquisition strategy via PBA partners
  • Partner with Distribution Partnerships team to advise its partner hunting/acquisition strategy for PBA
  • Build and lead a high-performing team to execute strategy and scale Powered By Affirm business

What We Look For

  • 8+ years experience in high-growth Business Development, Partnership/Client Management, or General Management
  • 5+ years of building and leading high-performance teams
  • Familiarity with the payments and e-commerce/instore platforms landscape
  • Clear communication, structured thinking, organization and project management skills
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the organization
  • Strong negotiator and big, ambitious thinker in regards to how we drive value with our partners
  • Comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment under minimal guidance
