SUMMARY:

The Student Services Advisor is responsible for routinely working with students from enrollment through graduation including front-line customer service, advising current/continuing online students regarding their progress toward degree completion, assisting them with registration for upcoming courses, and providing success coaching and support through proactive and coordinated outreach.   Additional registrar-oriented duties may also include conducting transcript evaluations, providing LMS support/administration, and serving as a course/curriculum development liaison.  The position is responsible for meeting and exceeding student persistence and related success objectives for All Campus client institutions’ online programs.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides student academic advising, serving as the expert for students regarding their degree program, course selection and registration process, deadlines, transcripts/transfer credits, contacts necessary for issue escalation, etc. 
  • Manages an effective contact strategy to include both telephone and email; regularly speaks with students to assist them with their program of study and related coursework.
  • Develops effective working relationships with students, establishing and reinforcing expectations; exemplifies superior service and takes ownership toward reaching a resolution of student issues.
  • Coaches students through both the highs and potential lows of the online student experience toward successful resolution and ongoing persistence in their degree program. 
  • Works closely with client institution partners to monitor attendance, academic progress, and student engagement within the academic program; as such, works within potentially multiple SIS environments.
  • Collaborates with client institution partners upon the identification of at-risk students to ensure coordinated, proactive, and timely follow-up. 
  • Performs transcript evaluations as assigned based upon client service levels.
  • Maintains high degree of student satisfaction as measured by student persistence and graduation rates, as well as related student satisfaction survey results and other feedback.
  • Assists new student recruitment efforts as needed with outbound telephone and/or email campaigns, including inquiry nurturing, program launch support, new student stitch-in, registration reminders, etc.
  • Travel to client sites or related events, such as commencement, may be required from time to time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited (or equivalent) institution; minimum of two (2) years of experience in higher education (student advising); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Designation in title from Student Services Advisor to Senior Student Services Advisor is driven by successful performance and tenure within the role, experience in similar/related positions, and overall higher education work experience and track record.

All Campus is currently a remote work culture, we plan to return to the office in a flexible format, when it is safe to do so.
