What You'll Bring
A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or other related discipline and 3+ years of supplier diversity experience
Excellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and procedures
Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with management’s expectations
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience building consensus across different functions of an organization, and foster positive relationships with team members and suppliers
Are a critical thinker who can deliver solutions and drive improvement
Have experience with an organization with a globally integrated supply chain
Possess knowledge of strategic sourcing processes/methods, as well as relevant Information Technology (IT) systems
Have strong project management skills
Enjoy a performance culture that values work intensity
Possess an owner’s mindset and enjoy challenging the status quo
Have traditional procurement experience
Impact You'll Make
As the Manager of Supplier Diversity, you will develop, implement, and manage a new program for the company. This includes developing annual and multi-year program plans to meet or exceed supplier diversity goals. Coordinating efforts of company representatives in each region globally, with primary focus in North America, and establishes relationships with national supplier diversity organizations, associations or regulating bodies. This role will build consensus for the program by influencing stakeholders to agree on providing program support, defined roles and responsibilities, methods for measuring supplier performance and delivering high levels of customer service to business units through reporting and monitoring tools.
Act as the primary advocate for supplier diversity within the organization while building relationships with key stakeholders across the company to facilitate achievement of supplier diversity goals
Work closely with others in Procurement, Third Party Risk, Compliance, Legal, Senior Management, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Sustainability and various business leaders to ensure appropriate identification, qualification, and inclusion of diverse suppliers.
Provide executives and leadership updates on business and regulatory environments related to supplier diversity
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and training to executive leadership, management and employees as required.
Lead, coordinate and drive efforts to grow existing diverse supplier spend while monitoring underperforming diverse suppliers
Develop guidelines and processes with suppliers and business stakeholders to provide a cadence and ongoing consistency of data gathering and reporting in collaboration with Procurement Operations
Collaborate with Procurement Operations to develop methodology, tracking and reporting mechanism for supplier diversity spend and ensure diverse suppliers have the required certification to be diverse
Prepare and oversee the execution of short- and long-term supplier diversity strategies, goals, objectives, and action plans in support of the company's strategic and annual business plans such as operational efficiency, business growth, and social responsibility
Provide guidance and potential vendor candidates to buyers to include in competitive bidding exercises
Perform traditional sourcing exercises as needed
