Primary Responsibilities

The System Administrator is responsible for the continued maintenance and support of the Physical and Virtualization Infrastructure across the enterprise, ensuring KeHE's infrastructure is performing at its best. The System Administrator will also be responsible for assisting with creating new infrastructure based on specifications as well as performance analysis and break/fix support for server infrastructure.

Essential Functions

Support and Operations

  • Configure and maintain VMware and EC2 (Windows and Linux guest) environments
  • Assist internal IT departments with infrastructure maintenance initiatives
  • Provide Tier II support for server-hosted applications. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure that systems are running at optimal performance and best practice using monitoring tools

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • Min. of 3 years work experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with endpoint patching using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM)
  • Experience with driver/firmware lifecycle maintenance on physical hosts
  • Experience with server monitoring tools such as SCOM, vROPs, New Relic, etc..
  • Experience administering Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory in an enterprise environment
  • Basic understanding of VMware ESXi Enterprise implementations
  • Ability to meet deadlines while paying attention to details
  • Ability to write technical and operational management documentation
  • Team spirited attitude
  • Critical Thinking Skills /Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills

Pluses: Adaxes, Linux, Scripting (Powershell, PowerCLI), AWS, Cisco Intersight

Certifications: Appropriate Microsoft role-based certifications, VMWare would be a plus
