What you will be doing
We are seeking a Teacher Community Manager who will be responsible for overseeing new teachers in their training phase as well as veteran teachers in collaboration. Your role will ensure a sense of belonging for our teachers which will enhance the experience and culture of our ever growing virtual teacher community. If you are a self-started who is willing to develop new processes, this is the role for you. Your support will positively impact the learning for our students. Responsibilities
- Co-develop the Elevate K-12 teacher care approach
- Create, foster and monitor teacher community for collaboration and connection
- Support and engage new teachers in preparation, training, and beginning of their classes using learning management system data and information
- Track and recognize teachers using incentives for retention
- Perform teacher focus groups and interviews to gather feedback
- Contribute to teacher social media initiatives with Teacher Recruiting and Marketing
- Collaborate across teams with Human Resources and Academic Operations
- Learn and take on additional projects
Who you Are
- 3+ years teaching or working in school setting
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience developing relationships with teachers
- Experience working with underserved communities
- Demonstrated success addressing multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously
- An innovative and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong problem solving skills
- Chicago based preferred
