Technical Trainer I JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of a Technical Trainer is to understand and provide instruction on three multiple Association Management Software (AMS) platforms: Nimble AMS, NetForum Enterprise, and Aptify. The trainer will engage in introductory technical training for clients in both the implementation and existing client phases of the product lifecycle. This individual will also maintain existing Technical Training introductory level courses: End User and Administrator, and will create new courses where appropriate.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Deliver technical training classes for clients and employees including first-time, ongoing, and refresher classes
  • Engage participants in Instructor Led Training formats both onsite at client locations and select Community Brands locations during multiple day classes
  • Independently contact client POCs to initiate remote training instances, organize classroom experience, and follow up with evaluations
  • Conduct Virtual-training sessions of 1-2 hours on smaller modules
  • Develop and record video on select modules for use in Community Brands LMS   
  • Provide orientation and training on new course materials to new hire CB staff
  • Plan, organize and develop new training classes including the supporting materials such as extensive training manuals, PowerPoints, quick reference guides, how to’s, etc.
  • Work closely with the R&D, Marketing, and release teams to update training materials with latest upgrade information and release notes
  • Create and conduct Internal training courses to foster staff development
  • Work with Training Coordinator in arranging a schedule for upcoming classes and instructor distribution
  • Travel to Community Brands and client training sites to deliver training courses. Travel can be as high as 40%.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree; Education, Adult Education, or Adult Learning a plus
  • 5+ years training experience with Enterprise Level software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
  • Prior software implementation, software QA or software documentation experience
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design and online courseware desirable
  • Knowledge of Association Industry experience desirable
  • Ability to work independently
