Job Purpose:
As a Technology Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with cooperative team on complex ITSM related technical projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success.
Description:
This position is primarily responsible for:

• The configuration, support and continuous improvement of the IT Event Management Framework and Micro Focus Silk Performance Manager solutions.
• Configuration and administration of Micro Focus Silk Performance Manager monitoring scripts including migration planning, customer communication, monitoring script migration/development including configuration of associated incident notification rules, etc.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years experience working with or developing in any programming language
• Experience developing synthetic transaction monitoring scripts in either BMC TMART or Micro Focus Silk Performance Manager
• Excellent communication skills, presentation, writing skills and the ability to work with business partners.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

• Experience with Silk Performer Benchmark Description Language (BDL)
• Knowledge and experience with ITSM related tools, the ITIL Framework and ITSM process/capabilities
• Familiarity with the Enterprise IT Control Framework, Enterprise IT Architecture and Cybersecurity
• Infrastructure support/administration experience (i.e. Server, Storage, Relational Databases, Network)

Additional Details:

• Location: Dallas, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; East Peoria, Illinois
• 10% of travel is expected
