What you’ll do in this role:
As we continue to grow our client training team, we are looking for an experienced Training Specialist. As a Training Specialist, you will use your skills and knowledge in curriculum development, adult learning principles, and software training in order to create, maintain, and deliver certification training.
- Establish, manage and enhance the client documentation and StrataJazz® certification training programs strategy.
- Design, maintain, and deliver instructor-led training for assigned solutions and audiences.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of eLearning scripts and lessons for assigned certification programs.
- Learn and integrate all adult learning principles and training delivery best practices into classroom training, which includes:
- Use a variety of questioning techniques to engage learners (Review, Active, Leading, Expert, etc.).
- Use tone, body language, facial expressions, and pace effectively.
- Set context for class using relevant healthcare examples, class and lesson hooks, and scenario-based learning.
- Incorporate your own personality and ways to have fun to increase class engagement and build rapport with learners.
- Demonstrate confidence in the system and delivery of training.
- Set clear expectations and boundaries for class.
- Use effective strategies to engage challenging learners.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends and best practices and structure programs around these best practices
- Learn and incorporate instructional design best practices into curriculum development including (but not limited to):
- Curriculum Matrix
- Lesson Plans with pre-planned questions, hooks, a-ha moments, and diagrams
- Trainee guide and PowerPoints adhere to style guidelines
- Coordinate activities of assigned projects or phases of a given project.
- Partner with Product Management team to develop client training materials to support new functionality and features, focused on best practice approach and client needs.
- Administer and maintain client-facing portion of learning management system.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for client facing training deliverable development.
- Cross-train and provide backup instructor coverage for related solution training classes.
- Build and maintain partnerships across teams in order to increase the success and advocacy of the client training team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your accomplishments include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (i.e. Education, Health Administration, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science).
- Familiarity with adult education techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with instructional design concepts.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience in corporate training or adult education/learning or related field.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction with training programs.
- Ability to hold yourself accountable to deadlines.
- Ability to develop and deliver curriculum that adheres to style guidelines, adult learning techniques, and scenario-based learning.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with other teams.
