Summary
We are currently seeking a Vendor Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Engineering and Operations teams in all aspects of vendor management. In doing this you will be working directly with the individual team leaders to achieve their profit and performance goals. You will also partner with finance, accounting and legal to ensure vendor/contract compliance. You want to make relationships that last.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Vendor Identification and Engagement
- Targeted outreach to possible new partners based on business needs
- Qualification (Approved Vendor List) and relationship development
- Accurately describe contract requirements
- On-boarding and general contract collection/compliance, including reference checking
- Service/Engagement onboarding and introduction to teams
- Partner optimization to ensure quality and efficiency
Vendor Contracting and Execution
Serve as a departmental subject matter expert in interpreting vendor contract requirements, business, and compliance and regulatory requirements
- Regular review of contract status
- Facilitate review with cross-functional teams of key contract points on returned contracts (cross outs, changes,…)
- Ensure contracted prices match invoices
- Be the first point of contact for invoice approval and payment authorization
- Service Partner Compliance
- Maintain repository of vendor documentation
- Implement monthly/quarterly reporting
- Arrange QBRs for key vendor partners
- Participate in the development and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
3-5 years experience in Supply Chain or a relevant field with focus on vendor engagement/management
1+ years experience with Project Management tools to plan and execute projects
Basic project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects within time constraints
Resolve problems, while keeping in mind the best interest of the company, client and employees
Keen ability to structure win-win relationships
Communicate with multiple remote resources and team members
Make decisions, including unpopular ones, in the best interest of the company
Communicate clearly, comfortably and effectively with team members and management
Prioritize and plan work to maximize efficiency
Proficient in Demand Planning and Work with numbers accurately
Computer skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge in developing dashboard/ metrics reporting
