VP, USIS Governance

What you’ll bring:

·        Demonstrated ability to handle any situation with confidence and conviction along with experience in successfully navigating and operating within a matrixed organization.  

·        Collaborative, customer-focused individual who can reach across the organization to effect change

  • Expert at process design, process control and process operations
  • Senior leader who provides day-to-day leadership and management to the USIS organization; Bachelor's degree and/or 8+ years of risk, operations and industry leadership experience
  • Must have high proficiency in business case development and use of Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.); experience with other data analysis tools a plus.  
  •

  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic change across multiple business units in an organization similar in size to USIS; experience with technical solution and service delivery in state and federal regulated businesses. 
  • Ability to communicate and influence individuals in a range of settings, including presenting to groups and building support for the execution of new strategies, initiatives and approaches. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop people and effective teams; capacity to foster a success-oriented, accountable environment.

 

Impact you’ll make:

  • Establish the future state vision of USIS Governance including service level performance, standards, documentation and training to be implemented across disparate risk and regulatory teams. 
  • Develop and manage monitoring processes in line with the organization’s risk control framework to include the development of expectations, metrics, reporting, and monitoring routines to support consistent high-quality service performance and a cycle of continuous improvement
  • Successfully develop and maintain internal and external customer and partner relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as proactive engagement and collaboration with matrix teams
  • Drive service excellence across all facets of the technology, processes and people across operational and risk mitigation teams. Ensure optimal business controls tied to process standards, KPIs and performance management standards. Independently work with competitors, outside partners, peers and their teams to resolve issues and escalate as appropriate to ensure aligned resolution messaging.
  • Institute repeatable and scalable process and structure as well as drive the ability to quickly and collaboratively organize “reactions” addressing tactical solutions, when needed, while also proactively identifying risks and mitigating solutions
  • Ensure adherence to external governance as well as company policies and procedures and create a culture that is driven to provide reliable, high quality service
  • Act as decision maker regarding investments to drive improvements (data-related, policy, regulatory, procedural and/or technical) and/or additional automation (systems/workflow) to further advance TransUnion’s risk mitigation performance;  maintain a prioritized set of initiatives and projects utilizing a structured and organized framework that considers input from all necessary stakeholders
  • Collaborate with TransUnion senior leadership counterparts across the enterprise to establish and deliver outstanding internal and customer support
  • For the department, lead strategic and organizational improvement initiatives with aligned talent acquisition and development focuses to ensure organizational readiness
  • Manage an expense budget and a staff of TU associates
  • Actively support TransUnion’s employee engagement and social responsibility programs.  Foster a safe and diverse working environment and lead peers and team members by their example
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Occasional business travel: up to 25% of time
