Job Description

This role will develop & support the growth of Nielsen's E2E shopper practice in NA and the delivery of excellent business results for the Consumer Insights business. You will be responsible for identifying business development opportunities and providing guidance and advice to all retailer/ CPG Shopper projects in the region and contribute to thought leadership articles and peers for internal and external use.

Main Accountabilities:

•To develop the shopper practice from clients in NA region

• Ensure the generation of required revenue from shopper business from clients across NA in order to meet the agreed budget targets

•Undertake sales activities independently or in conjunction with senior staff in terms of preparation and delivery of proposal and credentials

•For all commissioned shopper projects, work with the commercial team for the development of all material - Questionnaires, Field methodology guidance and reporting

•To attend shopper related client meetings with the Commercial team

•Identify and recommend enhanced and new services that answer clients' business needs

•Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations or business reviews and also by providing value-added analyses and response to special requests.

•To train the commercial team on all the shopper tools

•Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within client organization

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirement:

•Strong Client Focus and experience in using retailer / customer data, shopper insights and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans ideally in the FMCG/Retail industry

•Expert knowledge of Quantitative & Qualitative research techniques and methodologies. Key focus on E2E shopper research tools & techniques

•Complete grasp of shopper research & implications to talk meaningfully with clients and provide inputs

•Proactive and able to influence and persuade.

•Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

•Ability to analyse and interpret data in a challenging and insightful manner

•Displays maturity and creative problem solving skills in handling crises

•Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility

•Analyses and interprets financial information to ensure achievement of business targets and early identification of issues / crisis.


Qualifications:

 •10+ years’ experience and proven success with client/agency side of research solutions (qual and quant)

•7+ years’ experience in Shopper Research in different sectors

•Good analysis skills and insight generation

•Good grounding in custom research principles, methodologies, statistical techniques
