Job Description

NOTE: This is a hybrid role - Candidate must reside in the Chicagoland area with the ability to work from the office as needed.

Overview: 

The Procurement Compliance Leader is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a robust global compliance program for the organization's procurement function. This individual will leverage their procurement leadership experience to establish the Procurement Compliance team and guide them in mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with proven leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

Core Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Compliance:

  • Monitor and interpret evolving international trade regulations, tariffs, sanctions, and other relevant statutes, communicating implications to stakeholders across the organization.

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive Supply Chain Compliance Management System, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance supplier engagement.

  • Conduct thorough financial and strategic risk assessments, including "what-if" scenario planning, to proactively identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.

  • Build strong relationships and lead collaborative discussions with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, etc.) to ensure compliance alignment.

  • Respond effectively to internal and external inquiries regarding supply chain compliance, trade regulations, and related matters.

  • Oversee data integrity from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of compliance reporting.

Procurement Governance:

  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate key procurement policies, Supplier Code of Conduct, and internal resources, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

  • Design and execute a comprehensive third-party risk management program encompassing initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for audit and risk requirements, providing regular reports to senior management and risk committees.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and maintain user-friendly procedural documents and job aids.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Deep understanding of international trade regulations, compliance frameworks, and related best practices. Experience with [mention specific regulations relevant to the industry, e.g., C-TPAT, ITAR, etc.] is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Proficiency in relevant compliance software and technologies is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have experience with compliance in the procurement space. Please note that leadership experience is required. The preferred candidate will have experience in directly managing a team of 5+ individuals.

Target Base Salary Range: $101,300.00  - $202,600.00

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
