Role Description

Dropbox is seeking a Procurement Data and Insights Lead to drive the evolution of our spend intelligence capabilities. This role is pivotal in achieving data excellence by harnessing emerging AI technologies and optimizing information flows to embed intelligence into purchasing rhythms. You will play a key role in defining new standards for procurement intelligence and delivering actionable insights to enable informed decision-making.

This position requires strategic vision, innovation, and flawless execution. As a key contributor to Dropbox’s AI First journey, you will collaborate across functions—including Technology, Risk, Legal, Infosec, and FP&A—to design scalable, high-impact solutions that enhance processes and visibility across the supply chain. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Procurement Data and Insights Lead will drive resilience, efficiency, and competitive advantage in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ownership and Accountability for Spend Insights

  • Take full ownership of spend data accuracy and integrity, delivering actionable insights to drive strategic business decisions.
  • Build credibility through early impactful outputs and a strong work ethic, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Cultivate a data-driven culture, aligning insights with organizational goals and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to act on findings.
  • Communicate complex data effectively through compelling storytelling and visualization, making insights accessible and actionable.

Data and Insights Management

  • Collect, prioritize, and manage data requests to align with business objectives.
  • Deliver scalable, high-impact solutions addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner across Technology, Risk, Legal, Infosec, FP&A, S2P, and Supply Chain to develop scalable solutions and enhance procurement intelligence processes.

Forward-Thinking Problem-Solving

  • Anticipate future business needs and craft innovative, data-driven solutions that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Approach challenges creatively, leveraging out-of-the-box thinking to optimize outcomes.

AI and Automation Expertise

  • Leverage AI tools and advanced automation to optimize workflows, simplify processes, and enhance intelligence delivery.
  • Implement cutting-edge visualization and automation systems to digitize procurement operations.

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • Analyze data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and support decision-making.
  • Utilize modern platforms to transform data into meaningful recommendations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of innovation and improvement through automation, simplification, and process digitization.
  • Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance procurement intelligence capabilities.

Strategic Partnerships and Learning

  • Build relationships with data and insights partners and stay informed on emerging trends.
  • Lead the design and piloting of new solutions, driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with a track record of progressive impact;
  • 3+ years of experience leading data initiatives;
  • 3+ years in supply chain or finance.
  • Visionary thinker with the ability to envision transformative changes beyond traditional methods;
  • Innovation-driven, with a passion for emerging technologies and challenging the status quo;
  • Data enthusiast with a knack for deep analysis and uncovering valuable insights;
  • Effective communicator skilled in presenting ideas clearly to inspire change and secure stakeholder buy-in;
  • Proven project leader, capable of driving high-impact initiatives from concept to completion;
  • Experienced with digital tools, including generative AI, RPA, and spend management solutions;
  • In-depth knowledge of data visualization and productivity systems;
  • Unwavering commitment to customer-focused solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • End to End Purchasing: Jira, Ironclad, ServiceNow
  • Analytics and Reporting: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, Alteryx,
