Role Summary

Higi is hiring a passionate individual to be part of a team charged with building a product that is purposefully designed to transform how consumers access healthcare with an objective to bring affordable, accessible healthcare to all.  As an Associate Product Manager, you will support all stages of the software development life cycle.  Main responsibilities include gathering requirements, managing sprint rituals, and training internal and external stakeholders.  Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented, self-starter with 1-2 years of product management experience in the healthcare space, who can work alongside multiple Product Management Leads to execute against an aggressive product roadmap.  This position will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities

Translate raw data, market research and stakeholder feedback into actionable recommendations for product strategy and features

  • Participate in the Higi Research Committee to advocate for research that will further Product interests
  • Track and analyze product KPIs to report on success or failure of particular features

Contribute to Product backlog and assist in prioritizing features for development

  • Work with internal teams to understand problems we are trying to solve and suggest product enhancements to address defined needs and/or improve user experience

Support Product Development lifecycle under the supervision of a lead Product Manager

  • Meet with developers to create user stories, write feature requirements, plan for edge cases, and draft reporting requirements
  • Prepare sprints for active development
    • Write acceptance criteria based on requirements
    • Confirm that designs are up to date
    • Confirm that copy is approved, translated and documented
    • Create and update Confluence documentation for new and evolving features
  • Participate in sprints
    • Attend daily stand up, weekly refinement, and biweekly sprint planning meetings as needed
    • Provide escalation management if a sprint falls behind schedule
    • Approve Git Hub pull requests
    • Manage cross-functional efforts required for new product releases as necessary
  • Facilitate sprint retrospectives
    • Identify areas for improvements based on feedback from engineering, QA and design team members
    • Formulate cross-functional plan for creating efficiencies within the sprint process
  • Support quality assurance functions
    • Assist in investigating, documenting and fixing bugs 

Train internal departments on new product features and providing support to customers.

  • Become a trusted subject matter expert of the full Higi product stack
  • Host regular meetings to provide basic training on new features and functionality for departments outside of the product development team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years product management experience
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively alongside designers, software engineers, and QA teams
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Past experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub and Figma is a bonus
