In this role: You will be a Insurance Product Management Leader who will support their cross functional colleagues on all strategies and tactics related to policy contract, forms, and coverages.  For the auto line of business, you will:

  • Work closely with legal and compliance to ensure policy forms, contract and coverage compliance with state specific regulations. 
  • Be responsible for determining when form coverage, policy related, and other legal customer-facing forms need to be created, amended or withdrawn; determining when form related business processes need to be changed; and managing all aspects of the form revision process. 
  • Share responsibilities for designing insurance products with your state product management and countrywide product development counterpart, in order to ensure coverage compliance and claims compliance.
  • Proactively stay connected with the state product management team on state and channel specific coverage needs. 
  • Be a product line expert and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features and benefits, as well as industry product trends on ancillary coverages.
  • Monitor compliance issues at the state level and frequently collaborate with internal legal functions on critical audits/exams; with a significant influence on the outcome of the audit / exam resolutions.
  • Build relationships with key insurance departments and legislators to facilitate regulatory filing approvals, market conduct, and audit resolutions.
  • Engage and explore external vendors for products and services that will enhance our current offerings.
  • Manage/mentor/develop analysts and product managers.
  • Foster an inclusive high performance culture; Model proactive behavior across all levels of the organization, communicate broadly and deeply, and foster an environment of collaboration that values transparency

What do you need?  

  • Management experience at rapid growth companies, with Property and Casualty experience required.
  • Experience with drafting and research of contracts and policy language is required.
  • Personal lines experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to and successful track record in the realm of insurance product management required.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to lead through influence, rather than authority only. Also must be a team player and able to operate as a “player-coach.”
  • A willingness to examine every opportunity from first principles and challenge long-held assumptions about the insurance lifecycle.
