Home Chef is looking to add a Culinary Product Manager to own the menu development process, including recipe ideation, meal selection, menu design, menu presentation, and measurement & improvement of menu-related metrics.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Ideation & Meal Selection
- Create strategic roadmap for new meal ideation process, creating guidelines, sources of opportunity, and parameters for meals
- Lead team-wide culinary ideation meetings
- Select meals that perform well across key menu metrics including sales, costs, and customer experience
- Taste and provide feedback daily on all meals chefs develop, including red meat, vegetarian, soy, seafood, shellfish, and pork
- Plan menus to optimize key menu metrics including sales, costs, and customer experience
- Curate and analyze results of recurring customer surveys related to future meals
- Evaluate overall menu and photography to ensure adherence to the recipe, sales viability, and presentation of meals
- Work cross-functionally to understand and structure menus around seasonal operational and marketing initiatives
- Collect and analyze sales, meal reviews, NPS, and other data to inform future menu-planning decisions, new product development, food photography, and other strategic decisions.
- Implement processes & tools that drive improvement in menu-planning

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, formal culinary degree or certificate a plus
- Excellent understanding and experience in food – either professionally, formal education, or extensive informal education
- Passion for food & willingness to eat all meals created by chefs (allergens and dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated)
- 2-4 years of experience in a rigorous fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and initiatives simultaneously with a results-oriented approach
- Comfort in using Excel; expertise a plus
- Independent self-starter inclined towards finding solutions without significant oversight
