The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media-buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers — and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency.

So if you’re talented, driven, creative, and hungry to bring something entirely new and wildly ambitious into the world (and have some fun doing it), then we want to talk.

We are looking for a driven Principal-level UX focused Product Manager who has the ability to learn, convince, prototype, build, measure, and refine the next generation of online advertising tools in a lean/agile development environment. The ideal candidate has worked extensively in partnership with User Experience teams in the past and is an advocate for their product’s users.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the voice of our customers globally, you’ll deeply understand how to make users’ lives better through software. One of our core product principles is “do the right thing”. We expect you to represent our company and exercise good judgement, by balancing the needs of our diverse agency clients. You will accomplish this by teaming up with designers, developers, product managers and business stakeholders to create delightful, engaging experiences. You will gather customer requirements, design prototypes, prioritize and scope releases that represent customers’ needs, then work with the rest of the engineering team to build those products and iterate on them over time.

In this role you will own the roadmap and execution for the campaign lifecycle. This includes campaign setup, optimization, through campaign completion and reporting. You will be working with stakeholders all across the globe to bring our shared vision for programmatic advertising to life.

WHO YOU ARE:

Vision

You can imagine the future, understand where we need to go, and articulate it to the rest of your team. While your execution focus is on the work in front of you, your planning focus is on the months, quarters, and years ahead to make sure we’re steering the ship in a good direction.

User Experience

You are able to conduct focus groups when useful to gather insights into behavior and interests. You are an advocate and dedicated proponent of user centered design. Are able to use survey tools successfully and without bias. You understand how to use and apply tools like a heuristic evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs. Every customer experience has a beginning, a middle and an end. An a UX expert you can recognize this and strive for excellence in the experience in each phase. You are unwilling to leave roadblocks in the UX or unanswered questions.

Project Leadership

You can pick out what's important from the noise. In a sea of opportunity, you zero in on what should be a priority and drive towards the work that will deliver the best results.

Passion

You hold yourself to a high standard of excellence and care deeply about the work you deliver. You're willing to champion your ideas, even in the face of adversity.

People First

We want self-aware people who can engage in a healthy exchange of ideas but understand that people always come first. We want someone we can celebrate our successes with, lament our losses, and that pushes us to always keep an unrelenting focus on our customers.

Execution

We are only as good as the impact we make. You think about the value you're delivering, rather than just the work you're doing. You know that shipping is crucial, and your customers have a right to expect the best from you. You have a track record of successfully delivering products and technical solutions with strong outcomes for your customers.
