Electrical Engineering Technician

HYZON Motors is new and rapidly growing manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles. We are looking for an employee who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and fast-changing work environment. The Electrical Engineering Technician position will contribute to HYZON’s fuel cell vehicle products by assisting the vehicle prototyping & field support team with day-to-day activities. Daily tasks will include creating and applying schematic drawings for electrical architecture, component interface specification adherence, component procurement/inventory management, Fuel Cell Power Module build, and lab commissioning, vehicle retrofit, vehicle repair, and any other activities that may be required to help the company succeed.

Excellent hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, plus a high level of troubleshooting aptitude, are required. Can-do attitude and high level of work ethic are a must.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform disassembly, modification, and reassembly of vehicles and vehicle components, including rolling chassis, electric powertrain, and in-cab passenger equipment

· Interpret wiring diagrams and perform component wiring and assembly builds

· Identify and procure equipment and materials for use in prototyping

· Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of in-field vehicles

· Document activities and coordinate with other team members

· Assist in creation of safety-related procedures and participate in safety-first culture

· Represent HYZON in a professional manner and in all interactions

· Perform all other duties as assigned

· Up to 10% travel may be required

· Electric Vehicle charging on board and station system experience

· Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through

· Must be driven and self-motivated

· Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality

Education and Experience
Degree in Electrical Technology (EET), or Associate degree with >2 years of experience
