Job Description Job Summary:
The Commercial Banking Digital Marketing team is hiring an Event Management Product Owner to join its Marketing Automation team. We're seeking a professional to work cross-functionally across technology, marketing, and sales to guide the Event Management platform strategy from conception to launch. The incumbent must have product management experience and be able to design and develop solutions that improve the Commercial Banking event end to end process. The candidate must understand digital marketing projects/demands, product ownership methodologies and B2B marketing trends.
This role will have three primary focuses:

  1. Enable Client Engagement and Events Team with self-service capabilities, increasing speed to market for event invitations/communications.
  2. Simplify end-to-end workflow of event planning and project management processes (e.g., calendar, budget mgt, etc.)
  3. Ensure data management and risk/controls requirements are addressed throughout design process, adhering to evolving data privacy laws while also enabling personalized event experiences and end-to-end reporting


Responsibilities:

  • Assess current landscape of available event management platforms and capabilities
  • Build business case for incremental investment, that includes product OKRs defined in partnership with Head of Client Engagement
  • Work with tech to define target state architecture and success criteria for MVP
  • Serve as the strategy lead for event management including requirements gathering, features, user story grooming and acceptance criteria
  • Build, test and operationalize best in class marketing product ownership practices
  • Work directly with Client Engagement, Senior Leadership and Events teams to understand end to end process and translate into use cases for solution design
  • Experience understanding integration points between two platforms and troubleshooting/applying workarounds if necessary
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Business Management, Marketing and Technology
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and controls
  • Complete daily tasks using team's project collaboration system; partner closely with content and other digital marketing colleagues to build campaign assets


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of product or project development experience
  • Strong product ownership skills including experience in designing and delivering product solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated, fast-paced, and matrixed environment
  • Must be flexible and able to reprioritize depending on business needs
  • Excellent listener, strategic thinker, and problem solver
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail
  • Technical skills desired: database management, basic HTML/CSS, marketing automation, Excel, PowerPoint, project management/collaboration tools (E.g. WorkFront, Jira)
