Position Overview

The Catch Company is looking for a manager to join our growth strategy team. This role will work closely with senior management to maintain the rapid growth of our owned direct to consumer channels Mystery Tackle Box and Karl’s Bait & Tackle through strategic planning, analysis and ownership of critical strategic initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Lead planning and execution of strategic initiatives required to maintain our rapid growth (e.g., product launches)
  • Play a central role in the strategic planning process:
    • Defining, evaluating and recommending strategic options (e.g., new products/features, operational improvements, etc.)
    • Goal-setting and initiative evaluation
    • Coordination and execution across functional areas
  • Help refine the strategy, value proposition, and execution of our Karl’s Club membership program and Ecommerce offering to build out our acquisition funnel, reduce acquisition costs, and improve the experience and improve member retention
  • Build out a strategy to expand and nurture our community across multiple content and commerce channels to drive improved retention and engagement
  • Optimize our retail and brick & mortar offerings
  • Improve our subscription retention and increase repeat customer purchases
  • Coordinate with our data team and software development team to build and test new onsite personalization to create the best online shopping experience in the outdoor industry

 

REQUIREMENTS

What experience you need:

  • 2-3 years of pre-MBA OR 1-2 years of post-MBA consulting/banking experience
  • Experience developing and managing complex Excel models
  • Experience bringing structure to ambiguous situations
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, sometimes with conflicting interests

Location

Our HQ and engineering lab are located in Chicago's trendy West Loop neighborhood, but our culture is now remote-first. With the exception of our industrial designers, we have a fully distributed team across the United States!
