THE OPPORTUNITY:

At VelocityEHS our goal is to deliver the most complete, the most user friendly, and the quickest and easiest-to-implement EHS, sustainability and risk management platform available.  Our Implementation Consultants represent VelocityEHS professionally through the application of their knowledge and skills. They work with our enterprise customers to successfully implement our solution, bring industry knowledge back to the product team, provide internal support for implementation questions, brainstorm solutions, and act as the hub of communication to all project team members.  They do this by understanding the customer’s goals and delivering comprehensive system product implementations and training.  Focusing on new and existing customers, you will have the opportunity to help develop and execute repeatable implementation strategies that improve the overall training process and customer experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define objectives and business needs of customers and identify most appropriate solutions for setting up and configuring their VelocityEHS system
  • Speak with customer’s EHS Personnel to understand their EHS program needs and design solutions for meeting their needs with our software product
  • Advise customers how to use the software most effectively for meeting the EHS program needs
  • Manage multiple scoping, scheduling, and general organization, in conjunction with other teams to ensure seamless implementation of services to customers
  • Conduct customer consultation via the telephone and web conferencing tools to new and existing customers
  • Following up with customers post-training to verify proper installation and use, and to answer further questions
  • Facilitate resolution when a technical issue is encountered by working with VelocityEHS Technical Support
  • Provide support for system configurations, project and training related questions during the sales process
  • Communicate requests for system enhancements or modifications to the Product Manager
  • Full-cycle management of multiple large-scale and Enterprise customer implementations simultaneously, balancing and prioritizing competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost of each project
  • Understand customer’s goals and requirements and communicate them effectively
  • Establish and communicate clear and achievable objectives for each implementation
  • Proactively identify issues and risks and resolve conflict, escalating when and where appropriate to keep project team functioning at a high level
  • Manage and document all interactions between the customer and VelocityEHS using our CRM tool while reporting lessons learned and status updates as needed or requested
  • Work with Sales and Operations teams to plan onboarding and project strategies; while assisting in developing repeatable strategies to improve processes
  • Probe for sales opportunities for additional products and/or services
  • Travel to customer’s locations to conduct onsite consultations and training sessions, as needed or requested
  • Subject Matter Experts (SME) – Maintain/retain VelocityEHS product and services knowledge at all times

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Sustainability, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience in the EHS industry
  • Desire and ability for national and international travel
  • Advanced experience in customer or meeting facilitation
  • Proficient with Internet Browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in articulation of issues, risks and proposed solutions
  • Strong listening and interpreting skills to identify customer needs effectively
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with a strong customer-driven personality that takes ownership of issues and follows through to completion
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to details, policies and procedures with the ability to identify and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Strong computer literacy and skills for navigating websites and web-based products/solutions
  • Customer-satisfaction-driven, self-sufficient and dependable
  • Effective team player, quick learner, and self-motivated
  • Passionate about his/her work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety and/or Sustainability industry and legislation
  • Desire and ability for national and international travel
  • Familiarity with web conferencing software, such as GoToMeeting, a plus
  • 1 year of customer service or training experience in a web-based environment
  • Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment and training Fortune 1000 companies, a plus
  • Related experience in customer phone/web training, a plus
  • Experience with Project Management skills, a plus
