Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Creates and executes specific deliverables and activities as part of a team assigned to a software development project.

 

Key contributor to overall project success.

 

Performs analysis and translates business needs to create high-quality solutions.

 

Fundamental Components:

 

•    Participates in collaborative solution sessions with technical, business, operations and client stakeholders.

•    Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive solutions.

•    Performs analysis and translates business needs to create high-quality solutions within specified time frames to solve moderately complex problems.

•    Conducts impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.

•    Develops features and user stories with acceptance criteria that help ensure product quality and meet or exceed customer expectations.

•    Applies specific functional, system and business expertise to perform assigned tasks and develop specific project deliverables.

•    Documents acceptance criteria using the Gherkin language in support of Behavior Driven Development.

•    Develops business workflow diagrams.

•    Assists in the development of data models and interface design specifications.

•    Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.

•    Develops Product Overviews, FAQs, Tool Glossaries, system training material, and system user documentation to support implementation activities.

•    Creates appropriate communication materials that are documented and distributed appropriately.

•    Contributes to the review of Test Planning strategies.

•    Creates test cases and executes them to verify and validate system functionality.

•    Verifies that acceptance criteria have been met.

•    Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to quality.

•    Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager/SCRUM Master.

•    Supports bswift’s AGILE project management methodology by utilizing internal procedures and tools and identifying areas for methodology improvement.

•    Competent to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of the business, systems and quality analysis.

•    Guides and advises less-experienced Analysts.

 

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

•    Must possess sound knowledge of structured software development lifecycles, methodologies inclusive of Agile.

•    Ability to successfully interact with Product Managers, Software Engineers and Business representatives at various levels.

•    2+ years Business, System or Quality Analyst experience.

•    CCBA or CBAP Certification preferred



EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
