Job Duties
Oversee and direct a staff of software development professionals to design, architect, implement and deploy software product lines. Provide detailed technical mentorship and design reviews for software engineers on the team. Identify areas of constant change / improvements. Manage release schedule and ensure on-time delivery of software components to production. Oversee provision of high level technical designs for high volume scalable architecture for external facing B2B software applications built from scratch. Showcase strong technical expertise and leadership throughout the delivery process and provide guidance with regards to best practices, procedures, and techniques. Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences. Manage resolution of production defects and issues. Perform performance reviews and provide appropriate feedback. Technical environment: Agile/Scrum, MVC, Core Java, design patterns, business object modeling, data modeling, application architecture, unit testing, Java SE, Spring, Web Frameworks, JSON, Javascript, Git, REST/SOAP web services, Maven, UNIX/LINUX, Junit.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or with software leadership or engineering required. Required Skills: Hands on software development experience with Agile/Scrum, MVC, Core Java, design patterns, business object modeling, data modeling, application architecture, unit testing, Java SE, Spring, Web Frameworks, JSON, Javascript, Git, REST/SOAP web services, Maven, UNIX/LINUX, Junit, providing high level technical designs for high volume scalable architecture for external facing B2B products built from scratch; presenting and defending software choices to technical audiences. (*Bachelor's degree Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or with software leadership or engineering also acceptable.)
