Program Manager, Product Engineering Services (PES) 

mHUB is actively recruiting candidates for the full-time position of Program Manager for the Product Engineering Services team. PES was launched in 2018 as a pilot program to determine market viability. The program provides manufacturers access to mHUB’s engineering and design talent to collaborate on product innovation. This program successfully generated $500k in revenue and is anticipated to grow by 300% in 2019 and another 450% in 2020. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can take the lead of further developing this business unit focused on engineering and design consulting, innovation, and brainstorming services. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the business, and the successful development and launch of the online platform, assist in developing operations to ensure scalable business growth. The Program Manager will also manage and oversee all financial activity related to payables and receivables ensuring clients and contractors are properly informed and compensated. Program Manager position is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

Description of Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager, PES consist of the following:

  • Drive PES strategic priorities, delivering scalable growth, strong sales channels and increasing customer satisfaction;
  • Effectively track, analyze, and provide status reports on all business activity through defined success metrics to gauge the success of platform and growth efforts;
  • Maintain realistic and SMART forecasts, while driving continuous improvement around the business process;
  • Create a scalable process to manage follow-ups on pending client proposals, unsigned agreements, questions, payments, abandoned RFP’s/Quotes, and completed projects;
  • Deliver scalable process/system to respond to client inquiries, requests, and demands and assist in defusing and appeasing client when situations arise;
  • Define SOPs to help assist in setting and managing client expectations
  • Identify and improve opportunities to increase project completion speed;
  • Follow up with clients on unpaid invoices, unapproved phases, remove any other blockers and drive project continuations with existing clients;
  • Manage software platform developments, testing new features, find and fix/report bugs;
  • Enter information, update database, make manual modifications to the platform as needed;
  • Lead in documenting procedures, tutorials and guidelines, and FAQ’s for platform related activities;
  • Catalog and understand the contracting talent and assist in delivering automated identification of the right skill sets for new projects;
  • Update and manage contractor databases for new and alumni contracting members;
  • Assist in contractor orientations, best contracting practices, contractor meet ups/exchanges;
  • Increase contractor engagement and activity by encouraging contractors to complete profiles, bid for jobs, and communicate with clients;
  • Check in with contractors on active projects, understand pain points and ensure that they are meeting their deadlines;
  • Keeping track and managing payments for contracts, ensuring all boxes are check before they are paid;
  • Assist in building project case studies, success stories, and client that will vouch for the work;
  • Attend tradeshows, marketing, networking events and onsite client meetings to sell service offerings;
  • Work closely with the marketing department to create and manage advertisements, lead generation campaigns, and vertical market plans;
  • Maintain alignment with mHUB’s overall strategy, mission, and core values;
  • Increase mHUB’s presence and brand awareness within the community-at-large

Qualifications

Candidates interested in applying should meet the following qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business (MBA strongly preferred), with proven success in management, consulting, contracting, entrepreneurship, or a related field;
  • 2-5 years of management and/or consulting experience;
  • Hunter mentality and ability to source and generate leads for potential new business, while executing sales objectives;
  • Keen ability to build trust and establish long-term relationships with clients;
  • Must possess a history of establishing and growing a business while establishing systems for scalable future growth;
  • Information Technologies, AWS knowledge and Ruby on Rails experience skills are a bonus;
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently is a plus, willingness and ability to spend evenings and weekends at community, membership, and PES events required;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with managers and key stakeholders;
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines;
  • A high degree of responsibility, initiative, and professionalism;
  • Performs other duties as assigned
