What is a Product Analyst?
We are looking for an experienced Product Analyst with a Data Science and Segmentation background to help supercharge our product team at Clearcover. We need talented analysts who are infinitely curious about data and use that passion to find insights that no one else can see. 

Can you take a high-level question and turn it into actionable insights? We need you to help provide quantitative support to our Product Management and Insurance Product teams to better-er understand our current and future customers. 

To be successful in this role you will need to have amazing SQL skills and experience utilizing Python to evaluate complex data sets that support machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives. You will have demonstrated an ability to be a self-starter who thrives on having an understanding of customer and consumer analytics and won't stop until you've analyzed every last angle.

What will you do?

• Analyze existing and new datasets from internal and external sources to provide useful and productive insight to Product Managers
• Build insightful data visualizations and dashboards to present findings using our BI platform leveraging tools like Tableau, Looker or PowerBI
• Ad hoc analysis and reports on user behavior, e-commerce, financial, operations, and other data sources
• Contribute to projects involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis leveraging a variety of techniques (such as segmentation, logistic regression, cohort analysis, multivariate testing, sensitivity analysis, time-series analysis, survival modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, and machine learning)
• Interpret machine learning insights and make critical recommendations for optimizing analytic models 

What do you need?

• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, manage competing priorities, and be an independent problem-solver
• A bias for action and willingness to be accountable for your actions
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database structures
• Advanced knowledge of Python or R utilized in an enterprise production environment
• Ability to explore and query large data sets on a terabyte scale
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to collaborate across teams
• Knowledge of and direct experience with projects involving sourcing data from Snowflake, AWS Redshift or AWS S3
• Mathematical, statistical, and probability knowledge
• Must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis

What’s nice to have? 

• Workplace experience using professional statistical modeling including machine learning or artificial intelligence
• Exposure to the Property and Casualty insurance industry and actuarial science
