ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you have a passion for designing intuitive digital products in the retail space? At ShopRunner, we’re looking for a Product Designer to represent the customer voice as you work alongside fellow designers, product managers and engineers to research, design, and build the experience for developing and expanding ShopRunner membership. You will work closely with the Member Growth & Experience product team to create compelling experiences that drive the value of ShopRunner membership for consumers and our retail partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborating with fellow product designers and product managers to conduct discovery research in the form of customer interviews, surveys, and field observation
  • Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to define customer personas and use cases
  • Working with product and engineering managers to strategically prioritize the most important customer needs
  • Learning about the competitive landscape for membership programs and best practices
  • Creating and iterating wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to illustrate the user experience
  • Running usability tests to evaluate alternate design concepts
  • Contributing to our design system and producing high-fidelity user interfaces
  • Ensuring design quality throughout the product development process

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This role is a great opportunity for someone who:

  • Understands and finds the right balance between user and business needs
  • Enjoys the unique challenges of designing for e-commerce 
  • Thrives in a startup environment and loves a role with a lot of autonomy

The skills and experience that will make you successful are:

  • 3+ years of product design experience with digital products
  • Experience researching and designing in a B2C environment
  • Experience working in a collaborative, agile and data-driven environment
  • Familiar with Figma and Validately/UserZoomGo (or similar design and usability testing tools)
  • BA/BS degree in Design, UX, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or a related field -- or equivalent experience
