Convr (formerly DataCubes) is a growing startup in the InsurTech space. Our Underwriting Platform helps underwriters make better decisions more efficiently. We are seeking a Product Management Associate to support the product team in the design and delivery of a commercially sustainable product portfolio.
Job Description:
- Analyze and consolidate input from various teams (marketing, customer success, engineering) to evolve the product road map
- Recommend the development of features / capabilities to enhance and mature existing products, and convert these into actionable requirements and tasks for engineering teams
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to make challenging decisions, prioritize the right things, and creatively solve problems
- Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team
- Support both the Sales and Product teams in execution of proof-of-concepts and commercial pilots to secure new accounts
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in analytical/technical role (e.g. product management, financial services, consulting, corporate strategy, etc.)
- Strong technical skills (e.g. data analysis, machine learning, programming)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- High attention to detail, comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Motivated by the “always on” startup environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Commercial Insurance (including knowledge of pricing, marketing, insurance models/contracts, and financial analysis)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle / methodologies
- Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python.
