The Provi product catalog is at the core of what we do; ensuring that we have the most accurate, detailed information about products including images, inventory and prices is essential as we go into new markets as well as maintain the amazing user experiences our retail, distributor and supplier customers have come to expect.  As the Product Manager for our Product Catalog team at Provi, you will be part of a team of engineers, designers and product managers all working to build the simplest way to buy and sell alcohol in the beverage industry. 

 What you’ll be doing

• Work with a team of engineers, designers and other product managers to define, prototype and launch innovative solutions that meet needs of customers -- retailers, alcohol distributors and suppliers -- and business goals in scalable ways.

• Think holistically about the product catalog platform and understand how it contributes to the success of Provi’s business. Work closely with engineering to maintain a scalable catalog platform while building out tools and internal and external experiences on top of that platform. You’ll work especially closely with our integrations team and our data content team. With input and context from other product teams and business stakeholders, own roadmap-building, prioritization and execution. 

• Keep the user problem that you’re solving top of mind -- and ensure that the rest of the organization is as well. Intake user feedback -- both qualitative (user research studies, surveys, and focus groups) and quantitative (onboarding funnels, usage trends) -- to determine new feature sets and iterations on existing functionality.

• Be accountable for outcomes not output.  Understand the business opportunity, the ROI of what you’re proposing and the impact of what you’ve built. Communicate that impact to your team and the broader organization. Do not ship it and forget it. What you do matters. 

• Collaborate daily with engineering, design and operational leaders to build amazing and thoughtfully planned experiences. 

• Own the execution and excellence of your product area. Be scrappy. Solve problems. Do what needs to be done.

• Be both a teacher and student to your peers in the product team. Help the product team as a whole continue to improve. Help facilitate and maintain our team dynamic: open, encouraging, productive. Lead with empathy. 

• Above all strive to make the Provi team, business and product great.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in execution of tech-related projects preferably in an Agile software development environment. 

• Understanding of the inventory and catalog aspects of marketplaces and/or ecommerce platforms and how they impact buying experiences. Understanding of APIs and databases. Experience as a platform product or project manager preferred. 

• Proven track record of getting things done and done well with lots of examples of projects you've spearheaded.

• Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making experience. 

• Amazing written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfort with ambiguity and the grit to turn uncertainty into action
