The Product Manager, Commercial Cardio, will be responsible for the development and management of products through full life cycle within the commercial cardio product category and channel. In this role, you will impact improvements on legacy products as well as innovation for new products to ensure that Life Fitness remains responsive to the evolving landscape of the commercial fitness industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Product Development (50%)
Develop the business case and financial justification for new products and feature enhancements and present to executive management
Lead cross-functional project teams from the development phase through to the product launch and beyond. Teams may include representatives of engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, testing, service, sales, marketing, quality and international
Routinely interact with senior management to convey project status
Category Management (25%)
Maintain deep category knowledge through extensive market research and awareness
Continuously perform competitor surveillance product intelligence and communicate findings and insights back to direct team and colleagues cross-functionally
Product Launch & Management(25%)
Collaborate with creative services department to provide and approve product information for all product-related marketing materials
Monitor and manage product financials including measuring and analyzing product profitability, growth and cash flow
Collaborate with external vendors, when applicable, to ensure that sourced products are manufactured to specifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of direct product management experience in manufactured goods/engineered products targeted towards commercial customers, ideally across multiple global markets
Demonstrated success managing voice of customer, requirement setting, and driving revenue growth
Previous experience working cross-functionally with product development, engineering and marketing teams to develop and launch commercial products
Preferred:
Experience within or connection to the fitness industry

Strong financial and business acumen – experience strategically managing a category and owning profitability, inventory, warranty, etc.
Technical acumen – Experience working with engineering departments on product design
Strong project ownership and accountability - managing voice of customer and requirement setting for a successful product
Ability to build and maintain deep market awareness
Great communicator (oral & written) with an ability to tailor style to appropriately match audience; exudes professionalism and ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
