Job Description
The Product Manager, Principal is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
A day in the life...
Solid practitioner of the following competencies, requiring some day to day management support:

  • Sharp communicator who can explain complex data problems in clear and concise language
  • Passionate about data and insights, with great attention to detail
  • Bring strong product focus to the conversation between data engineering and analytics teams
  • Provide vision and evolve the strategy for data model and data analytics, business and engineering for various domains
  • Define data models across functional areas
  • Build adoption and provide onboarding and education on how best to use data in various subject areas
  • Define and prioritize analytics products that advance JWN insights and predictive capabilities
  • Drive root cause analysis on KPIs and data quality issues
  • Work with downstream data source providers and users to define requirements and prioritize meaningful data production
  • Cross functionally partner to collaborate on redefining how data is used to power the JWN business units
  • Prioritize feature opportunities and develop annual backlog
  • Partner with UX, Research, and Engineering on feature design
  • Work with engineering during feature development to ensure feature objectives are maintained


You own this if you have...

  • Minimum 10 years' experience of product management experience with technology or ecommerce company preferred
  • Bachelors' degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline is preferred
  • Experience driving large, strategic projects forward in ambiguous environments
  • Proven track record for problem solving within technology that enables the business to achieve stretch goals
  • Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Technical background and understanding of software development principals and a/b testing
  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Analytics, Engineering and User Experience
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Colorado: $151,000 - $233,500 annually
Nevada: $151,000 - $233,500 annually
New York: $151,000 - $271,500 annually
