Department OverviewThe Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team (CIE) is Motorola Solutions' organization of cloud subject matter experts specializing in the deployment, management, operations, compliance and security of our cloud-based solutions. CIE delivers expertise in cloud engineering and follows best-practices for developing, architecting and managing cloud-based environments and solutions. CIE manages cloud solutions at scale, with efficiencies delivered through common services, industry expertise, and centralized cost management and monitoring. In addition, CIE facilitates partnerships with cloud vendors and other technology partners, and streamlines our interactions with their infrastructure and services. As Motorola Solutions centralizes functions with CIE, we accelerate cloud development and deployments and optimize cloud operations, management & cost through scale and specialization with cloud-native services and processes.
Job Description
We are open to candidates working out of one of our major offices in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Seattle, or Plano, TX.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
This role needs combined strengths of a product manager and process oriented manager. As a product manager he/she/they help create the roadmap for the team to build, strategize and execute the compliance standards and procedure. As a product manager manager he/she/they help build systems that are efficient in collecting evidence for one time audits as well as continuous audits for FedRamp.
Knowledge and experience in helping businesses and corporations with compliance is highly desirable. Knowledge in cloud applications and services such as containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, cloud storage, and cloud networking is good to have but not required. He/she/they will also need to have a keen sense of where the broader business is going to stay ahead of the curve. He/she/they will be responsible for working with internal and external partners to chart the strategy, prioritize investments and work closely with engineering for deliverables. He/she/they will have the autonomy to make build vs. buy decisions, work with partner teams to deliver solutions efficiently and present to executives to showcase the team's work.
