Department OverviewThe Unified Communications team has a mission to become the leader in creating a highly scalable software platform and communication applications for first responders and industrial workgroups. Our customers rely on these solutions to run their critical business operations in the public safety, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. Every single day, we are shaping the future of mobile workgroup solutions for public safety and industrial users worldwide leveraging Motorola’s rich heritage in this space. Our solutions include broadband Push to Talk (PTT), multimedia messaging, location based collaboration, video streaming with full interoperability with land mobile radio (LMR) systems. The products include client apps on Android, iOS, and Windows. Our backend software can be deployed On-Prem, in private data centers, or in a public cloud infrastructure.
We are seeking a smart, self-motivated, well-rounded offer manager who excel at product planning and execution as well as defining requirements and scope for our Broadband PTT direct-to-consumer offering. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work with cross functional teams towards an end-to-end solution that meets customer and market needs. This position requires excellent teamwork and communication skills as well as working closely with other teams. As an Offer Management consultant you will be part of a small team and must be able to quickly learn new market conditions and new technologies.
Role and Responsibilities:
Drive end to end WAVE product offering, including handset, data services and broadband PTT software
Support cross functional teams including software and hardware product development, direct and channel sales, marketing, suppliers, etc.
Create, analyze and recommend Business and Use Cases for new offerings
Leverage customer research to adapt existing offers or/and develop new ones
Support regional product and marketing teams to develop Go-to-Market Messaging and Content
Work with internal development teams to define requirements and scope for WAVE offering
Participate in group discussions by expressing thoughts and ideas clearly
Maintain an approachable demeanor and a positive can-do attitude
Must be able to articulate and present to senior leadership
At least 5+ years of experience in Product Management. Ideally with experience in end-to-end product development life cycle.
Experience launching new end-to-end products in both Enterprise and Public Safety markets is a plus.
Experience leading activities related to new product launch, including but not limited to training revision, ensuring preparation of marketing communications, product homologation, generating of part numbers, price analysis, creating webinars for knowledge sharing among internal and external customers is a plus.
Skills in business operations, business cases and financials is desired
Experience with or strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and SaaS (Software as a service) and mobile handset market dynamics.
Knowledge of traditional LMR systems as well as Broadband PTT is a plus.
Channel partner experience is a plus.
At least 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
