Overview of the role:

The Product Manager will be a key evangelist for their product lines – driving adoption and momentum throughout the organization and the industry. This person will play a key role in determining long-term product vision and direction, as well as serving as the ‘voice of the customer’ inside of the organization.

The role spans the entire product lifecycle and requires strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and a passion for driving cross-functional execution to ensure overall product performance and market adoption.

What awesome stuff you'll do:

This role will influence the overall product management within Kazoo, including:

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas. Performing market research and developing strategic solutions to ensure optimization of current portfolio on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and maintain an 12 month agile roadmap for our products to illustrate our vision and plan into the future

  • Create user stories for current and future products based on the market's problems

  • Write detailed functional specifications for both engineers and designers

  • Build a product roadmap, maintain a backlog of projects, and manage the priorities for engineers and designers

  • Define and monitor metrics where appropriate to measure the overall impact of new features

  • Planning, prioritizing and managing the development of products from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and corporate objectives

  • Collaborating with the Sales, CS, and Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies, plans and activities are aligned with the strategic vision

  • Be willing to say "no," but come armed with an explanation that will make sense to stakeholders

  • Be ruthless in prioritization while maintaining balance with customer and stakeholder needs

  • Bring evidence-based decision-making to communication

What you'll need to be successful:

 We are looking for a critical thinker with a proven track record, a passion for product strategy, and the employee experience.

 

  • 4-6+ years relevant professional work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in business or technology related program

  • Proven business, strategic marketing, & business planning skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Effective and creative problem solver

  • Strong team-player with proven ability to interact with and influence marketing, R&D, sales and services, as well as clients and partners

  • Experience in building and launching software applications for the On-demand or SaaS environment, preferred

  • Industry experience, preferred.
