What We Are Looking For:

CityBase builds software that improves the way citizens and businesses interact with their local government.  We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead our efforts to build innovative payment products for our customers.  This includes: 

• A leader to guide their team through the creation of products and services
• Proven success in start-up to a mid-sized software organization
• Motivated by the challenge of building scalable products that meet the needs of customers while reducing costs
• Excellent communicator capable of collaborating, educating, and selling both internally with stakeholders, and externally with customers

Responsibilities:

Lead a team

• Maintain a well-defined backlog of high-value work based on input from many stakeholders
• Balance product roadmap work with support and maintenance of owned applications
• Create a high-performing cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and QA
• Understand the start-up environment requires leaders to, at times,  also roll up their sleeves and do the work to meet objectives
• Work with other Product teams to regularly re-visit and improve the company-wide Product practice 

 Define a Solution

• Deeply understand the problem through regular interaction with customers, and translate that understanding into product insights
• Clearly define the vision and roadmap of a Product team
• Educate the organization on the benefits of their solution, the roadmap, and the vision for the product 
• Deliver on the vision, resulting in flexible solutions usable by thousands of customers
• Enable the implementation team to configure and deploy their solutions with little to no development effort

Support the needs of the business

• Align the vision and roadmap to the objectives of the business
• Have an eagerness for learning and a willingness to constantly improve your own performance
• Be a thought leader and a teacher to our clients
• Assist in growing the revenue and profitability of the company
• Acquire and integrate industry knowledge and insight related to general trends, methodologies, emerging technologies, and competitors.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Product Management experience
• You understand payment technology
• You can effectively collaborate with developers to ship your work
• You have proven experience with both strategic thinking and execution
• You have excellent communication skills, in writing and in-person
• Naturally detail-oriented and organized, especially in work
• You are independent and thrive in a startup and low-touch management environment
• Ideally, you have experience with software solutions that interact with hardware components
