Nielsen is seeking a talented Concept Optimization and Benchmarking Portfolio Product Manager to drive the development and expansion of our solutions. As an Product Manager you will build products from existing ideas, refine and optimize our commercial and delivery processes, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience, contact with clients, and a close partnership with commercial teams. You will also help support the existing solutions looking for ways to improve the tools and processes currently used by the commercial team. You must possess a unique blend of excellent project management, problem solving, and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must have the ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with Data Science, Technology, Marketing, and Commercial stakeholders to bring solutions to life. You must enjoy spending time in the market to uncover external and internal opportunities, and find innovative solutions to these challenges. 

You will be responsible for helping define product strategy, requirements and working with marketing communications and commercial leadership supporting the go-to-market strategy, product positioning and key benefits. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Optimization and Benchmarking Portfolio from strategic planning to tactical activities for Global initiatives – including tracking global adoption and sales of the solution suite
  • Work with Commercial Leaders and Product Leadership to define strategic operational and commercial priorities and a future solution roadmap
  • Develop and implement programs to address operational and strategic priorities working in concert with Commercial and Product Leadership teams
  • Supporting the currently available solutions to look for improvements to the tools and processes
  • Provide support and resources for regional teams on coordinating training, onboarding, and roll-out of new solutions – includes upkeep of training materials
  • Conduct detailed Global competitive assessments that support positioning of NielsenIQ BASES products
  • Work with Commercial Leaders to create competitive advantage in product design; monitor strengths/weaknesses/changes in marketplace across the regions

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience in Marketing, Product Leadership, Consumer Packaged Goods, Market Research, Machine Learning Techniques, Conjoint/Discrete Choice Modeling
  • Strong leadership skills and ability lead cross-functional teams from strategy to execution while creating strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Data Science, Commercial, etc.
  • Combination of strategic thinker and executor, the ability to set strategic direction and play a strong role in execution for innovation markets where we test new approaches before expanding to other markets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective organizational skills providing the ability to identify priorities, work in a matrix organization, and meet all deadlines 
  • Self-starter who has a strong drive to exceed expectations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong ability to collaborate
  • Highly driven and resourceful
