Wyzant is on a mission to make the world a better place by empowering people to teach and learn from one another. We’re looking for an experienced product manager to help lead the team that powers an integral part of that mission: our online learning tool. You will help define the vision for its future, and be responsible for its continued success – from adoption to engagement to retention. Come prepared to lead discovery, definition, and execution of experiences for the tool and potentially other core platform features used by our large, engaged user base of tutors and learners. Wyzant relies heavily on business intelligence, analytics and A/B testing, as well as regular qualitative research. Our product team embraces a data-informed, collaborative philosophy, but is still nimble enough to move quickly.

The Work

• Develop and drive product strategy, roadmap, requirements, and goals with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and stakeholders from across the company
• Collaborate with a top-notch team of engineers and designers to create and deliver experiences that will keep our online learners coming back for more
• Be accountable for the finished product and its success metrics
• Communicate frequently across all teams and leadership throughout all phases of work, from ideation to measurement
• Ruthlessly prioritize your team’s backlog to drive work that delivers value for online learners, and ensures we’re solving the right problems to meet company-wide business goals
• Learn what makes our users tick by discovering unmet and unarticulated needs through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing, and competitive research

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of product management experience in consumer internet or consumer tech companies
• Strong analytical skills with a data-informed mentality
• Leader with a track record of success driving results in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Excellent communicator – both written and oral – comfortable in front of any audience
• Bias for action, with a natural curiosity to investigate and understand how things work
• Innovative problem solver who is passionate about turning ambiguous problems into game-changing solutions
• Collaborative teammate that engineers, designers, and PMs love to partner with
• A desire to set ambitious goals, be resourceful, always be learning, and enjoy the journey
• Experience with Scrum methodology
• BA/BS in Computer Science or an MBA are a plus
