As a Product Manager on the Echo Global Logistics team, you will set the strategic direction and vision of enterprise scale web-based applications which productize Echo’s business capabilities. Our proprietary software is created with the goal to simplify transportation for our customers and carriers, and is one of our largest competitive advantages in an ever growing market.]

Our team has recently been ranked the third largest digital company by employee size in Chicago and we are continuing to see increased growth in virtually all of our technical teams. Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and support a cross functional team (Software Engineers, Business Analysts, UX Architects, and Business Owners/Executives) in an Agile environment
  • Perform strategic and tactical activities from concept to maturity in order to design and deliver meaningful software capabilities
  • Maintain an expert level knowledge and understanding of the product domain and business processes
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with end users and business sponsors/leaders
  • Structure a roadmap by conducting strategic alignment sessions with key business and technology team, performing analytical discovery activities, defining business requirements, and architecting high-level solution alternatives and approaches
  • Prepare project proposals, business cases, and detailed product research/discovery readouts
  • Be a forward thinking thought leader and educate the rest of the organization on latest tech trends
  • Ensure the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness all deliverables per business goals and expectations
  • Work constantly to advance skill set; can present and manage requests from Executive leadership

Position Requirements:

  • 6+ years Product Management/Ownership and/or Agile Software Delivery experience
  • Ability to set strategic vision for enterprise level web based applications and products
  • Understanding of how to productize cultured business capabilities which enable complex business functions
  • Aptitude to connect effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders and captain cross functional delivery teams
  • Proven track record in working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication, meeting facilitation, and organizational skills with ability to express elaborate business concepts in technical terms via presentations and written format
  • Experience with B2B products and/or E-Commerce is a plus
  • Logistics, 3PL, Supply Chain experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience
  • MBA or a graduate-level degree in a relevant field is a plus
