Product Manager in Chicago, IL
Tavalor is looking for a visionary, proven Product Manager with experience in the online lending industry, preferably in small business lending. In this role you will define what our customers need, prioritize features and products, and build, test, analyze and optimize with continuous process improvements. You will work closely with our management and engineering teams in building our end-to-end technology platform for online lending. You will have great responsibility and a very significant role in shaping the future of the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify market opportunities and collaborate with the leadership team to define product vision and strategy.
• Determine features needed for great products, and advocate for new features with qualitative and quantitative reasoning.
• Conduct market research including secondary research, customer and competitor interviews
• Manage product development including: defining, documenting needs, prioritizing and communicating product needs, and working closely with engineering
• Analyze potential partner relationships and make buy vs. build decisions
• Do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful – that includes doing QA, getting feedback from customers and handling customer issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in a product management, engineering, and technology strategy role (preferably in the online lending Industry)
• Experience developing large-scale products and technologies (preferably in the FinTech industry)
• Solid track record of product management leadership experience and demonstrated success in ideating and bringing to market commercially viable products
• Looking to join a smart and fun team and have a personal passion of creating solutions that have a positive impact on small businesses

Additional Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience in fintech or financial services, specifically online small business lending
• Demonstrated knowledge of how blockchain works
• MBA or advanced technical degree.
• Strong technical, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
