PRODUCT MANAGER/TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

PourMyBeer is a self-serve beverage software and hardware technology company. We allow customers to pour their own beer, wine, cocktails, coffee, and any other beverage you can think of. Please view our website or Youtube channel to get a better idea.

We are disrupting the beverage dispense industry by developing exciting software integrations and projects. Our goal is to create a seamless experience at bars and restaurants for the customer. We have integrated with a number of point of sale (POS) companies such as Toast, Aloha, Micros and working on many more. We also have built many in-house software solutions.  We are a young and energetic startup that has a great team and a great product.

Your role will predominantly be to test, document, and support these integrations and own the products you manage. You will also be trained on how to diagnose and support our customers remotely via phone/computer.

The role will be based out of Wheeling, IL (30mins north of Chicago) and will be working with our team for on-the-job training. This will be a contract-to-hire position. If the 3-month contract goes well, we can transition you to a Full-Time Employee.
 

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Product management of new software
  • Testing
  • Working with our software developers to test new products and find bugs
  • Building out guides and how-to documents for PMB staff and customers
  • Creating troubleshooting documents for customers



Support
 

  • Taking calls to diagnose/troubleshoot common issues (involves being on a monthly weekend support roster)
  • Teamviewer support with our customers to fix issues
  • Logging trouble tickets in our Zendesk management portal
  • Create and manage tickets in Trello and/or Asana as needed.



Day-to-Day Operations

  • Working with the current support team to improve our procedures
  • Fixing any hardware that has broken and needs to be refurbished at the warehouse
  • Assisting with the boxing and shipping of some hardware when needed




Skills needed

  • Working knowledge of computers and software systems
  • IT networking knowledge
  • Identify and fix technical issues
  • Collect and analyze logs to locate issues
  • Perform configuration updates
  • Provide feedback on software
  • Develop SOPs.



Compensation
We are looking at this person converting to a 40K/ year salary upon completing the contract portion of this. During the contract portion, it would be $18 - $24/ hour.
Our company has doubled in size the last 3 years in a row, so there will be opportunities to grow with the company in many ways.
