Product Optimization Manager

| Chicago
Home Chef is building new ways to provide meal solutions that meet a wide variety of customer needs, and shipping locations both online and in store. Our team is a unique mix of creators, chefs, entrepreneurs, and trailblazers and we’re growing quickly. Our customer-first mentality, combined with a zest for supporting our peers, helped us bring home Built in Chicago’s Startup of the Year Moxie award in 2017. If you’re ready to be part of the action, we’re ready to connect with you. There are no limits to where we can go together.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to escalate in the US and around the world, we are committed to keeping our teams and their families as our greatest priority. To that end, we are making some adjustments to the way we will be doing business in the upcoming weeks.
We are taking all the necessary precautions to keep our employees and customers safe, and would love to have you on our team as we can continue to serve our communities.
The Technology Product Team at Home Chef is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders, engineering, and design to develop thoughtful technology solutions that provide a great user experience. We support products and technology that span the entire business - from our customer-facing website and mobile app, to internal tools that support our supply chain and operations teams. We pride ourselves on being great thought-partners and problem-solvers and are always driving towards making an impact.
The Product Optimization Manager is responsible for the analysis and optimization of the consumer experience across our eCommerce site to increase conversion rates. We’re looking to add an Optimization Manager to work inside our Customer Experience Tech team to help identify opportunities and execute experiments.
We're looking for someone with a multidisciplinary skill set to own our experimentation process and life-cycle. You’re creative, collaborative, incredibly resourceful, and laser-focused on delivering value to our customers. You’re curious and data-driven, eager to use customer insights and data to inform your next move. You are focused on the latest UX trends and attune to developments in web and mobile commerce.

You will be a truth-seeking missile, scrappily hunting down data and research that might lead to solid ideas while entrepreneurially seeking out new opportunities for Home Chef.

  • Manage a balanced testing roadmap that covers a diverse swath of goals (acquisition, retention, referrals), devices, and level of effort in order to run the program on all cylinders, continually
  • Build and launch experiment variations using web-based experimentation tools and CSS/HTML to update landing pages, measure their impact on performance against the current experience in real-time
  • Build compelling, fact-based recaps, using data analysis from the analytics team, that strongly communicate the business ‘story’ behind the data and further a culture of data-driven decision making
  • Partner with the development team to roll out the winning tests into production
  • Manage archival knowledge base, including posting all test results and communicate actionable recommendations to stakeholders
  • Stay apprised of best practices in testing and optimization as well as competitive landscape; utilize in your work and disseminating them across the organization
