The Global Product Management team oversees the ecosystem platform that leverages and integrates Motorola Solutions’ portfolio of products and applications from communication, video, and software. The Product Management team is responsible for bringing the broad ecosystem to market, collaborating sales and channels as well as evangelizing the portfolio for specific verticals. This includes reviewing market opportunities and disruptive technologies to build successful portfolio strategies, closely working cross-functionality with Product Engineering, Marketing, Regional Channel, Finance, Operation, and Value Streams to successfully deploy value-add customer outcomes to the board Ecosystem.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager, focused on integrating and automating with existing Motorola Solutions products as well as 3rd party. This position is within the Product Management team as the Product Manager of our automation toolset, which is part of the broader portfolio and ecosystem delivering customer outcomes and value to our enterprise customers. This position will leverage their existing product and market insights as well as listen to customer needs and pain points, assess a market and competitive landscape, and translate insights and data into a plan that drives business success. The position will have the following scope of responsibilities and expectations.
The Product Manager will have the following scope of responsibilities and expectations:
Work with Product Teams and Engineering to drive global lifecycle product requirements
Provide Product Management support during the development process helping to make tradeoffs involving features, schedule, cost, pricing, and lifecycle management
Drive global agreement on product trade-off decisions based on market-driven requirements, competitive intelligence, market environment, and available technology
Work with regional business teams, sales, and vertical product managers to identify market opportunities through product requirements and business case
Review and approve feature traceability matrix for feature implementation in an agile method
Work with third-party partners to define and develop key system elements
Coordinate global system forecast and monitor and analyze product financials
Work with Engineering and the Business Regions to set up product models and order ability
Review and approve Global Content Development documentation (user/service manuals)
Develop compelling training modules for the Sales Teams, Technical Teams, and Indirect Partners
Participate in the New Product Introduction process for successful market penetration
Work with product marketing, solutions marketing, and regional Go-To-Market teams to evangelize the message and product
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or MBA in Technical Product Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Equivalent a plus
5+ years of experience in product management or product planning with a proven track record of successful product launch(es)
Engineering background and/or technically savvy relative to modern cloud deployments and XaaS models.
Business results orientation; driving incremental growth and market adoption
Data-driven decision-making skills
Works independently, self-start with a focus on innovation, and can manage deadlines
Ability to influence team members external to their department
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with multi-discipline, cross-functional teams
Adapt in agile methods of product development and MVP, MMP, MSP concepts
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in product management or product planning with a proven track record of successful product launch(es)
