As a Senior Director in our Growth organization, you will lead multiple teams which are working on Client Growth. You will evolve our customer growth strategy and empower your teams to build great experiences across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. From helping small businesses discover how to hire freelancers, to assisting large enterprises in scaling their workforce, this is an exciting opportunity to own major parts of the Upwork product.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead teams such as Acquisition, Onboarding, Retention, and SEO to build great experiences for new visitors and experienced customers
• Be accountable for creating great Growth practices, and up-leveling our experimentation, data, customer research, and planning activities
• Develop and evolve our customer growth strategy to deliver scalable user growth across multiple geographies and categories
• Collaborate with Engineering and Design counterparts to establish a strong partnership among all scrum teams
• Connect strategy and teams' roadmaps to ensure that we're building for the right outcomes

What it takes to catch our eye:

• Understanding, and previous experience in applying Growth frameworks
• Experience hiring, and developing highly performant Growth teams
• Analytical approach, with a great handle on data, and bias for action
• You have high customer empathy, and value qualitative research just as much as robust data sets
