What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engagement Manager in Chicago to lead partner and client relationships and ensure the successful implementation and adoption of a payments and digital services platform for local government and utilities. You are responsible for providing excellent client service, serving as a point of escalation during the project management and implementation phase, and helping to identify new opportunities to add value within a project or region. You are known for your ability to establish trust, communicate effectively, and advance major initiatives through collaboration with a variety of stakeholders. You will liaise between clients and their stakeholders and the CityBase project team.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and communicate regularly with clients to understand and advance strategic goals, monitor satisfaction, and anticipate future needs.
- Coordinate the activities of the CityBase project team including project management and technical resources to achieve strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with CityBase sales, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment, drive platform innovation, and capture market opportunity.
- Coordinate or oversee the collection of data to measure the current state of a given process and assess impact of CityBase products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders in the Chicago region including elected officials, govtech leaders, and universities and research organizations to find partnership opportunities
- Identify new opportunities for expansion and business development within a contract or region
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of client management experience with enterprise software
- Based in Chicago, with ability to travel 4 days/week to Indianapolis
- Open to relocation, as the engagement location may change
- BA/BS in related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated strength in maintaining positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders in complex situations; utility and/or public sector experience preferred
- Technically adept, and skilled at communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Energized by solving problems and finding opportunities to make clients successful
- Professional, with strong work ethic and collaborative style
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
